Girls Weekend - Day 2 & 3

Okay, here's the rest of the weekend. Day 2 we didn't do anything really noteworthy. We shopped, slept and ate.
On Day 3 we road tripped to Las Vegas for the day. I have been to Las Vegas a couple of times, but not down on the strip. We caught the medevil show at the Excalibur, visited the Coke Factory and M & M world and walked through lots of casinos. It was fun, but not something I can handle for more than 1 day at a time.

Girls Weekend - Day 1

My two best friends Jodee, Gerri and I are in St. George, Utah enjoying the sunshine. On the way down from Bountiful we stopped in a little ghost town in the middle of nowhere called Grafton. Some of my ancestors lived in the town and are buried in the cemetery here. In fact their home is one of the four remaining structures in town.

Girls Weekend - Day 1 (continued)

While we were in Grafton I was indulging in a new hobby of mine called Geocaching. This is basically treauring hunting using GPS units to find caches (treasures) that others have hidden and posted the coordinates on the internet. In these two pictures I am climbing up the side of a mountain (in cowboy boots) to find this cache. Down below JoDee and Gerri providing a commentary

Nashville Tennessee Trip

In October of 2009 The Mountain Jubilee Chorus competed in the Sweet Adeline International competition. I went and spent an extra day touring some of the sites in and around Nashville. It was neat to go back to where I served my LDS mission.

I'd Rather Be Singing!

Okay, okay. I'm terrible at updating my blog. But here I am. I love to sing. I am a member of a fabulous group called Mountain Jubilee Chorus. We are a barbershop chorus as part of the Sweet Adeline International organization. We are around 100 hundred women who meet every Tuesday night to laugh, a socialize, but most of all to sing. We perform whenever and where ever we can. Last year competed in our regional competition and took 2nd Place. We are going to International competition in October of 2009. It is being held in Nashville, Tennessee. AWESOME. Not just to be going to Internationals, but Nashville is where I served my LDS mission. I'm going back to the South, ya'll. In October we held our big fall show that we do every other year and it was held at West High School in Salt Lake City. See my pix below for our fabulous costumes. I love this wonderful group of talented ladies that I am hanging with. Check out my links and go to Mountain Jubilee Chorus's website. If you love to sing come join us.

I love Halloween! Next to Christmas it's my favorite holiday. I usually end up wearing 2 or 3 different costumes each year. This year I had three. One for my ward Trunk r' Treat, one for work, and one for my former stake's Trunk r' Treat on Halloween night. I was Professor McGonngal from "Harry Potter" for the ward party and a classy witch for work. For Halloween night I was a Pirate.
Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween.
